Our Neighbors’ Place is looking for long-term solutions including preventing homelessness and helping people who are now homeless become self-reliant. There are a variety of opportunities and ways for individuals, civic groups, schools, families, businesses and churches to assist and volunteer. We look forward to you joining us to help our neighbors.

Family Support Team Volunteer - Members of the family support team who are willing to work with one family at a time, on a weekly basis to meet their goals and attend monthly organizational meetings. for more information please contact Carole Mottaz  at mottaz@pressenter.com or (715)-425-7903

Guest Coordinator – Welcome and sign-in clients, answer a phone, respond to a variety of questions, check for clients’ mail, assist with computer questions. Additional requirement: 18 years old or high school graduate.

The Closet Workers – This is a very busy position that provides an opportunity to be directly involved with clients. Volunteers in this position help clients choose fresh clothing and dispense toiletry items. Also are opportunities to work behind the scenes with the processing of the clothes as they come in; sorting, labeling, hanging up and transporting.

Jammers – The Our Neighbors’ Place Jammers  are collecting sugar, sure-jell, certo,  jars, rings and lids.
Donations can be dropped off in the boxes located at The Day Center and at the Fellowship Hall of St. Bridgets Church , 211 East Division Street. We also accept cash donations to use for purchasing supplies.
Gently used jelly jars are totally except able for regifting to us.

Storage Room Volunteer – Keep our household items area in order so we can find what we need to give our clients!

Kitchen Volunteer – Clean and organize the kitchen once per week. This job is cleaning and organizing a heavily used kitchen!

Family Room Volunteer – We need help keeping our Family Room toys and books clean and organized. Once a week from 4-5 PM is ideal.

High School Art Team Donors

Special Events – Help with planning and working at special event fundraisers:

  • April — Gala
  • Summer — Neighbors Helping Neighbors
  • September — Kinni Trout Trot

Publicity – Someone with good writing skills and experienced in designing brochures and flyers to promote our positive image to the public. Duties would include preparing articles for print and on-line publication and designing flyers and posters. This individual would work in conjunction with the Communications Director.

Mentoring – Each of us has a talent. It might be reading to children, playing a game, listening to a parent dealing with a child’s problem, creating a résumé, or guiding someone through the process of renting an apartment for the first time. Each of these talents are needed. If you have a talent and want to volunteer a couple of hours, please call us. We need you! Our network works because we care about our neighbors.

Board Member – All dedicated Board Members are working Board Members. This allows each member to be hands-on either in the Special Events, running of the Day Center or connecting with the needs of our neighbors.
