Our Neighbors’ Place, Inc. (ONP) is an award-winning nonprofit organization providing support, shelter, and housing services to foster self-determination in Pierce and St. Croix counties. ONP supports the community with five programs designed to help meet basic needs with a holistic approach to strengthening families.

ONP supports the community with five programs designed to help meet basic needs with a holistic approach to strengthening families.
Our Day Center provides comprehensive housing support and general advocacy. Guests are eligible for direct resources such as: gas cards, mailing address, taxi vouchers, food, showers, laundry, phone, and side by side assistance from our full time case manager. Guests who call or visit the Day Center for help will find a safe, nonjudgmental environment where all are welcome.

Our Transitional Housing Program supports a family’s need for shelter and security. Since the programs inception in 2016 we have helped 26 families (36 adults, 63 kids) find stable, permanent housing.

The Closet store helps meet a community need for free clothing in addition to functioning as a thrift store to the public, with the funds going to support ONP programming.

The Helping Hands Fund, available to guests in the River Falls and Ellsworth School Districts, can provide emergency financial assistance related to vehicle costs, vital records, laundry, work clothing, and more - with a focus on priorities that support housing security.
In 2023, we delivered 4,367 backpacks to hungry children, provided over 1,000 guests with vouchers at The Closet and assisted over 3,829 individuals with our Day Center.
